Editor's take: Sony, ASUS and now Lenovo are the three main players in the 11.1-inch business laptop category, so choosing a super-small ultraportable computer is really a decision between the VAIO TZ, S6 and soon-to-be-released IdeaPad U110. The key new feature to seek out is a Solid State Drive (SSD), which is significantly more expensive than traditional hard drives but is much faster, draws less power and generates less heat. Sony typically charges a premium for its notebooks and the TZ at the cheaper end is $2,100, a little pricier than the $1,900 that the ASUS S6 can be had for. The best 11.1-inch business laptop may be yet to come when Lenovo releases its IdeaPad U110 in April, although there’s no word on exact pricing yet. |
